Who we are

This site (getreelmagic.co.uk) is operated by Daniel Whittaker, trading as ReelMagic, based in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. Contact: privacy@getreelmagic.co.uk.

What we collect when you join the waitlist

• The email address you submit.
• The timestamp of your submission.
• Which form on the page you used (e.g. hero, founding-members) — used to understand which placement performs best.
• Your browser's user-agent string — used for diagnostics and to detect automated abuse.
• A salted SHA-256 hash of your IP address — used solely to apply per-IP rate limits. We do not store the IP itself.

We do not collect any other personal information. We do not collect or upload any video footage, family details, or device files.

Lawful basis

We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) — submitting the form is the act of consent.

How long we keep your data

Until you ask us to remove it, or until two years after public launch of ReelMagic, whichever is sooner.

Who we share your data with

• Convex (data storage) — hosts the waitlist database.
• Resend (email delivery) — sends your confirmation email.
• Vercel (hosting) — serves the site.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We will only ever email you about ReelMagic itself — never third-party promotions.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics (cookieless, first-party) and Microsoft Clarity (cookieless in our configuration) to understand traffic and usage. With your consent, we additionally use Google Analytics 4; if you reject the consent banner, GA4 does not load.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Email privacy@getreelmagic.co.uk and we'll act within 30 days. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
